G'day I'm Peter

The maker behind Linthorpe Leather.

My wife, our three kids and I spent 31yrs living and working on our hydroponic lettuce farm. After selling the farm, I finally have the time to dedicate more of myself to something I'd loved doing since I was a young fella... leatherwork.

Linthorpe Leather takes its name from the locality we call home, right here in Linthorpe, Queensland. Every piece is handcrafted here with care, using quality leather and traditional techniques.

My love for leather began with my grandfather, who was a leatherman. As a young fella, I'd spend hours with him surrounded by scraps of leather while he patiently taught me how to make my own pieces. Those memories, and the skills he passed on, are something I still carry with me every time I step into my own shed.

There's something satisfying about taking a simple piece of leather and transforming it into a timeless item that someone will use and enjoy for years to come.
